[item title=”General Facts”]

The hot spring Agios Fokas is located at the southeast side of Kos Island, on the coastal zone, 4 km southwest from the cape Agios Fokas and 12.5 km away from the city of Kos by car. Kos is a big island and offers intense emotions to the visitors who will decide to explore it. Greek antiquities, Roman villas, medieval knight castles, hot springs, green hills, are but a few of the things that visitors can enjoy in Kos. Hippocrates, the father of the medical science, was born in Kos and established the art of hydrotherapy. One of the biggest sanctuaries of Asklepius of Antiquity is found in Kos. There is a beautiful beach in front of the hot spring, yet accessing in the area remains hard because of the morphology of the ground. The spring gushes at the edge of Agios Fokas beach and then, having formed a big natural, hot “pool”, which is visited by a great number of people, flows into the sea.
