Kivotos village is on the road of Grevena – Neapoli – Kastoria. The natural beauties and the excellent climate are a major attraction for the visitors. The spring is located 4 km north of the village and was used by the inhabitants of the area for treatment, a fact that is testified by the old buildings of the area. The beneficial properties of Kivotos springs have been known for at least a century. Testimonies from the inhabitants take us back to the beginning of the 20^th century. The curative water gushes from two water drilling wells that were built so that the area could be developed. It is a natural environment, which was developed and continues to develop in a way that highlights the natural characteristics of the area. Today, the facilities do not operate.

Curative Water

The temperature of the water is 15^oC

Characterisation: Cold Na- Ca- K- Li- SO4- HCO3- Br –F-HS hypotonic, slightly radioactive curative water of the municipality of Grevena.

Therapeutic Indications: Skin ailments, rheumatisms, ailments of the respiratory and urinary system.
